THIS WEEK’S OBJECTIVE IS TO HELP YOU IDENTIFY YOUR PURPOSE FOR BEING:
Introduction:
In life there are three kinds of people: The first kind are people that live life without purpose. Second are those that are in search of purpose. Then there are those that only make decisions based on a purpose.
When we look at people that are effective, at the end of the day they are people that function according to purpose. There is a reason they do what they do. If they save money there is a reason behind their saving plan. If they have time set aside to think, there is a reason they do. People of Purpose are people that bring growth.
When you think about your life how do you live? How do make decisions? What is the meaning behind things you give your time to? Do they generate growth?

… the end for which the means exist,
… the cause for the creation of a thing,
… the desired result that initiates production,
… the need that makes a manufacturer produce a specific product,
… the destination that prompts the journey,

… the objective for the subject,
… the aspiration for the inspiration, and
… the object one wills or resolves to have.”

YOUR ATTITUDE ABOUT PURPOSE ATTRACTS THE HELP OF OTHER PEOPLE:
Purpose: Prothesis—from protithēmi (4246), to lay out, set before—is a “laying out” of something, a “placing in public,” such as a corpse. It may indicate a “public notice.” Other definitions found in classical writings include a “purpose.” This figures largely in later Biblical writings. Elsewhere one can find the meanings “calculation, theme, thesis”
The Directive: Go ye therefore
The Purpose: “Teach all nations or Make Disciples of all nations”
Every believer was called to the purpose of replenishing or making disciples. Where we went wrong was abandoning the Church order by not gathering them to the Church for the purpose of being nurtured in the things of God. Matthew 16:17-
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
